Why use it
You use Perplexity to research topics, answer questions, and stay on top of new developments. But your best insights aren’t on the web — they’re in the voice notes you recorded after meetings, on walks, and during brainstorming sessions.
With Letterly MCP, Perplexity can reference your personal notes alongside web results, giving you answers grounded in both public knowledge and your own thinking.
Setup
- Open perplexity.ai
- Go to Settings → MCP Servers (or Connectors)
- Click Add server
- Enter the MCP endpoint:
- Sign in to your Letterly account when prompted
- Start asking questions that reference your notes

Tips
- Combine personal + public. The magic is in asking Perplexity to blend your notes with web research in a single answer.
- Build on your ideas. Record a rough idea, then ask Perplexity to find evidence, counterarguments, or examples that support it.
- Research prep. Before diving into a topic, ask Perplexity to check your existing notes first so you don’t duplicate work.
