What you get
ChatGPT supports MCP connectors, which means you can give it access to your Letterly notes. Once connected, ChatGPT can search your entire note library, rewrite notes using your custom options, and even create new notes from your conversation.
It’s like having your voice note library as part of ChatGPT’s memory — always available, always searchable.
Setup
- Open chatgpt.com
- Click your profile icon → Settings → Apps & Connectors
- Scroll to Advanced settings and enable Developer mode (required for custom MCP connectors)
- Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create, name it Letterly, and enter the MCP endpoint:
- Select OAuth as the authentication method, save, and sign in to your Letterly account
- Start a new conversation, enable Letterly from the + (tools) menu, and ask about your notes
Note: custom MCP connectors in ChatGPT require Developer mode. If you don’t see the option to add a connector, enable it first under Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings.

Tips
- Start conversations by mentioning notes. ChatGPT will automatically use the Letterly tools when you reference your notes.
- Set up once, use everywhere. The connector is saved to your account — just toggle it on from the tools menu in any new conversation.
- Combine with other tools. ChatGPT can use Letterly alongside web search, image generation, and other tools in the same conversation.
Requirements
- A Letterly account (free or paid)
- ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan (custom connectors aren’t available on the free plan)
